CRANWELL

Due to wartime demands, our training period at No.1 Signals School. was reduced from 3 to 2 years.

RECENT YEARS

  • Sqn.Ldr. Murphy of the 0D/17th Entry founded the Cranwell Apprentices Association in January 1985, and CAA reunions are now usually held in September.
  • In addition, members of our Entry decided to form a sub-group with Harry Appleby as Representative, and the following Entry reunions have been held:-.
  • 1993 Autumn reunion held at St. George Hotel, Teeside Airport, Darlington.
  • 1994 Autumn reunion held, again at St. George Hotel, Darlington.
  • 1995 Autumn reunion held at Marriott Hotel, Lincoln.
  • 1996 Autumn reunion held, again at Marriott Hotel, Lincoln.
  • 1997 Autumn reunion held, again at Marriott Hotel, Lincoln.
  • 1998 Autumn reunion held at The Brackenborough Arms Hotel, Louth.
  • 1999 Twenty six of our members attended the September reunion at The Brackenborough Arms Hotel, Louth.
  • 2000 Our 8th reunion celebrated the 60th Anniversary of Joining at Cranwell.
    Twenty two members and wives enjoyed the celebration dinner at The Brackenborough Arms Hotel, Louth.
