Entry Representative: None
In April 1943, 35 young hopefuls arrived at
RAF Cranwell as the 6M9 (47th) Entry to train as Wireless Operators
(WOP's). During training they gained one from the 5M3 (46th) Entry,
2 ceased training, while 2 of their number were re-classed to later
Entries. This left 31 to pass out in July 1946.
After about 1 year into their training "operator"
training was ended and they continued training as Wireless Mechanics.
However, they Passed Out as either Radio Fitter Air or Radio Fitter Ground.
