 KENILWORTH REUNION 2000

Ager (2), Blake (1), Brennan (2), Doherty (2), Du Feu (2), Hewett (2), Holloway (2), Jones (2), Jordan (2), Maddox (2), McKie (2), Peppercorn (2), Readman (2), Wardrop (2), that's 27 of us met at the De Montfort Hotel.   About eight members tendered apologies due to other commitments.

The weather changed from wet/cloudy on the Friday, to bright/sunny/very warm for the rest of the weekend.   Most of us used the bus stops right outside the hotel to visit Coventry (£2 return) or Leamington Spa (£1.60 return), and some took a walk across Abbey Fields - now a park area with a stream - to visit Kenilworth Castle and the old High Street.

The hotel was excellent, and the celebration dinner went well, although the noise level was a little higher than in 1997 due to the room being smaller.   Dicky D proposed the toast to "The Queen", Alan J proposed the toast to "The Entry & its Members".   For the summing up speech, Cliff B outlined what is involved in the task of Entry organisation, and told the tales of three related charity involvements.

It was a nice surprise to see Gordon Skelton (9M9/0M1) when he dropped in on Sunday morning to visit.   I hope & think a pleasant weekend was enjoyed by all.
