In September 1949, 50 young hopefuls arrived at RAF Cranwell as the 2M9 (63rd) Entry to train as Ground Radar and Air Radio Fitters. During training they gained 7 from Senior Entries, 3 ceased training and 1 died. 2 were re-classed to a later Entry, which left 53 to Pass Out in July 1952.
