CRANWELL VIDEO

In 1952 Aircraft Apprentices made an 8mm film about their life at Cranwell entitled "THE CRANWELL APPRENTICE". The original editor was Brian Hope of the 70th Entry with Dick McCraith, also of the 70th Entry responsible for Continuity. The film was discarded during a "clean-up" at RAF Locking in 1985 but fortunately retrieved from a skip. The film was then edited and had a sound track added by personnel at RAF Locking. It was subsequently transferred to a DVD to guard against further deterioration. The file they made is a unique record of our time at Cranwell. The file has now been split into several parts and re-edited by Jim Willacy of the 69th Entry to ease placing it on the web for viewing. The narrative is by Charles Hart. Clicking on the links below will display the selected part.
